I do have a USB pen drive with windows 10 before the fall update., I could install that to downgrade windows 10 then install Picture it then the update to windows 10. don'tĪlso does it make any difference if one is 32bit & other is 64bit !! I wonder if I copied and pasted all folders from a computer that has picture it to the c drive of the computer that doesn't would that work !! even if it gave me the option to repair picture it rather than uninstall it. I also have a laptop 64Bit Windows10 home which picture it worked ok before the fall update and still works ok after the fall update v1709 !!!!. the problem is that computer is 32Bit the other is 64Bit. I believe the best way to install the older programs is before the Fall Creators Update, v1709. I also have Microsoft Office 2007/2010, Projects 2007, Visio 2007, Publisher 95/98, MS Works 8, Front0, and PhotoDraw 2000. Image 2006, Picture It!, and Flight Simulator, no problems. Then I reconnected the system to the internet to allow Windows 10 updates. In eitherĬase I disconnect from the internet to prevent background updates and install all Microsoft's software, old (some as old as Windows 95) and new. If you check via Windows 10 (lower left) - Settings - System - About - it reports v1703, Creators Update. I preformed a factory reinstall, which put Windows 10 v1511 (November Update, per 'msinfo32.exe'). I have a HP system that I updated to v1709. if you install the older Microsoft program prior to Windows 10 v1709 (Fall Creators I had the same problem installing old Microsoft products like Digital Image 2006 and Picture It! These programs are running on other Win10 systems I own. Once you get into this routine, Picture It is the joy to use we all know. My experience is that Picture It seems less likely to stop working unexpectedly in Windows 10 compared to Windows 7.
If you want it as a JPEG do the same with an old JPEG and then copy your Picture It construction as a whole picture into the JPEG. Delete what's there already and then construct your picture as you normally would. If you want to make a new Picture It file choose any old Picture It file, Copy, Paste to wherever you want, Rename to whatever you want. You can't open a Picture It file directly, you have to open Picture It and then File, New, Blank Picture, then drag and drop your file into the bottom of the screen.
Note: Same restrictions on usage apply as in Windows 7. Click that and follow the trouble shooter and select Picture It from the list it offers. You will see "run programs made for previous versions of windows".
In "Search the web and Windows" enter "run programs". If you have already inserted your CD and run pip.exe and Picture is listed in the Apps but doesn't run then
